tonight i will be bartending a gallery opening. yippeeeee! should be at the very least somewhat interesting. at least i hope because pouring wine for four hours can be BOring.
watched hustle and flow today for the first time. solid movie. Terrance Howard officially rocks. Crash and H&F were both excellent movies and he did an excellent job in both.
saw XIII last week and, as glenn has sain in his blog, was not at all impressed. perhaps the HQness of the first two movies raised my expectations far too high for this movie to have any chance. BUTT the more I think about it, the more I am sure it was jsut a shitty movie. the acting sucked (huge balls), story was EH, fights were aite, the archangel thing was teh lamp, the jokes fell flatter than my abs (ok, thats not very flat, but IF i had awesome abs then thats how flat they fell), wolverine was not himself, phoenix was EH as well. oh AND wtf is the dela with storms hair. the few redeeming qualitites- Gandolf and Captain Jean-Luc Picard bringing the LOTR and ST:TNG fans togehter, Famke Jansen is HOT even if i did not like the Phoenix thing so much, Beast (one of my favorites from back in the fox satur DAY morning cartoons, glad to finally see him in the movies), Juggernaut was pretty cool too. oh, the ending sucked too. the girlz loved it though. i think their seats (some of the guys too, admit it) needed a little dryin after we all left, if U know what i mean. and the little kid. dont want to give too much away, but i really thought the kid was gonna be involved in some awesome, well thought out plot at the end to end that shit, but it was just lame and muscle-bound. whatever. oh, and i had suprememly high hopes for batman begins and it totally lived up to an beyond said expectations, so it is possible to not suck when i expect big things. fuck its pouring out right now. it was like 80 degrees and sunny out today, wtf!
sweet, now that i've wasted some time, im gonna have to rush to get ready and find an umbrella.
