i usually don't watch the grammys, but in the last year i actually kind of caught up with the current music. normally i have no idea what the music of the past year has been and hence don't care. to be honest, I didnt realy care about the awards so much as i cared about the performances. of note for me were: paul mccartney (ok, not new, but awesome nonetheless), Kanye West and Jamie Foxx, and Jay-Z and Linkin Park. Oh, and the zaniness that was the sly stone reunion thingie. Sly Stone has seen better days. Having him on stage with Steven Tyler almost ended the universe, I suspect. Paul McCartney's first song was from his latest album-eh. but hten he sand helter skelter which was fucking awesome. he would later show up to sing Yesterday with Linkin Park as Jay-Z played back-up by grunting and repeating words as necessary. Jay-Z looked truly uncomfpartable up there. Oh and Jay-Z was wearing the same John Lennon shirt that both Tim and I own. the best part was that i recorded the show and was able to fast forward through almost everything i did not want to see.
