Marriage is Bliss
I was at Rubio's the other day, standing in line. There was a couple behind me- im guessing they were married in their forties. They were in the middle of a discussion/argument kinda thing. no raised voices, but they surely did not agree. about what? well as you may have guessed it was something completely incosequential. i believe the husband was of the opinion that the restaurant was NOT as buffet and that the wife had said it WAS a buffet. The wife believed she never said such a thing. This went back and forth a few times. Then their daughter comes up and says, "mom, you did say that." Ah perfect, now that we settled that- nope. Mom: "No I didnt, i was on the phone." she was insistent that she never said it. she had two people telling her other wise, but no she did not. THe husband then says "oh, dont worry about it thats jsut mommy's special memory." This entertained me very much. All i could think was typical marriage, typical poeple, having a typical stupid argument. And i thought i was right ( i could see the dad and daughter out of hte corner of my eye and they looked like normal people). I ordered took my water cup and receipt. As Iturned around I saw the family of three standing mehind me- the mother was wearing a clown suit! YES a mother fucking clown suit. it took all my strength to not laugh aloud. I'm amazed the husband didnt just say "honey, youre wearing a clown suit, how can i take you seriously?" but, alas, he did not.
