its time ot waste time. as peter already knows, i invented a new word yesterday: sotally. as in "i sotally should have killed that baby." brad, yews indeed they are the good shirts. apparently the internet is down in the country of sri lanka (yes you 'heard' me right) so the g-ride wont be gettin to the puter to read your blog. i will try to pass the message along ot her. she is not leaving on the 25th. lamps extra plus. hopefully she can return sooner than the 1st of september because it has been too long.... since ive seen her. and talked to her for more than 10 minutes.
oh so, again, i hope all of you are watching the olympics. this is great stuff. the gymnastics controversy is great as usual. for me, however, the announcers are a thing of beauty. you wouldnt think its that hard to do sports announcing, but i think it is based on the fact that almost every sports announcer sucks. now, theres a guy named bob costas, that it seems everyone loves as a sports commentator, announcer or whatever. he used to do nba on nbc. i was never a big fan of his. since moving to ABC i now realize that costas is great in his lack of sucking. he, along with bill lampley (the 6th most entertaining name of these olympics, i chuckle everytime he comes on) has been doing the in-studio reporting and transitions from one sport to another. so today (maybe yesterday) they cut back from this american guy (the huge upset suprise winner in sydney) winning his greco-roman superheavyweight wrestling match to move on to the gold medal match. ok it cuts to costas in the studio. hes looking kind of off to the side, then he looks at the camera and says "whats the deal with that? a sport where the referee wears a suit? c'mon what is this?" it was straight out of a christopher guest movie. if i remember tomorrow and can find a clip of it i will post it.
