oh boy! drop everything, the book club show is on!
seriously, why the crap was this ever even a show? was the network actually surprised that a show called "Tuesday Night Book Club" had a small audience? If i were them I would be ecstatic that 5million people actually thought it was worth their time. i would like to point out that MORE people watched this show than watched Arrested Development. What is wrong with people? Oh, and The War at Home, an moderatley funny show, has replaced Arrested. AND Upright Citizens Brigade is no longer on TV. AND Norm MAcdonald was replaced by Colin Quinn on SNL. where is SNL now? EXACTLY! every once in a while i give SNL another chance, nad my god is it bad. bad in the sense of what i used to be. i will admit that i laugh here and there, but it is a shell of what it used to be. can't we have like a comedy bill of rights? i really feel slighted by all of these things. my life would be 3% better if my TV comedy wishes came true. fuck, now im angry. BAH!!! where did all the funny go? Curb is so fleeting- just ten episodes, and i have feeling they won't be filming that masterpiece for much longer. Ricky Gervais is going strong, but again Extras is uber fleeting-- just six episodes a 'series' and if the Office is any sign Extras will be over soon too. At least we still have the simpsons and family guy and king of the hill. which reminds me, i should get back into watching KOTH. truly a great show, IMHO. I forgot about Boston Legal which i think is hilarious. its an hour long too! still, i am not satisfied with the curent tv comedy landscape. have i missed anything? im sure i have? The Daily Show! ok, i love the Daily Show, but i feel it has peaked. Or maybe its the same but ive gotten used to JS's schtick. the Colbert Report is pretty good, but it has its ups and downs too. I find myself watching Dog Bites Man on Wednesday Nights hoping that somehow it will have the enture UCB cast, but alas this is not true. South Park. forgot about that too. need to watch more of that. what else?
