Two things. First, to shed light on the mysterious SDL H2Omelon video. In it I am seen bfiefly talking to marie. All you see/hear is me saying "even pour" making a gesture indicating the evenness of the pour. It has puzzled many for many years as to what I am talking about. A few weeks ago in a drunken state i realized what it was. That was the my first summer working at Caltech. I was describing how good the guy I worked with, jeff, was. He was showing me how to make the buffer for running a gel. its a simple thing just add the 50x concentrate to 980 ml of water to 1L. Well he did, but in one quick pour- and it was perfect. Right at 1L. i was very impressed by this, so I was telling people the story. and a moment of that great story has been caught on candid camera.
