Love Everybody

Many things to talk about. Im sure i will forget many of those many things, leaving a few for me to actually talk about.
First, tim, bowoo and I went to the Presidents of the United States of America concert on firday at the troubador. the first band "nervous return" was par. the second band "vagenius" was below par (using the adjusted price-par scale). PUSA or POTUSA, if you will, was well well below par (again, using APPS). an very awesome thing happened at this cncert. i think this happened while nervous return was playing. these people in front of us had like 8 firends show up resulting in our awesome spot one persom from the stage turning to a three person distance. lamp. anyways, these people, as it turns out, were only there to see vagenius. so as they all left we moved in and bowoo let me have the very front agianst the stage cuz im short. thanks bobby. anyways the group of people next to us (a female and two males) also moved up and we were all ike wtf, they were only here for vagenius. then we cracked some jokes and such. one of the guys let the girl who was taller than him go in front of him cuz she was such a huge fan. a few more intergroup jokes were made (mostly by me). and then the female aske me "what are the chances of you or I going to the bar and getting a beer and being able to get back to this spot?" my reply was "zero" as i held up my hand in the form of a zero. then i made a lame joke that i had to drive home and one beer would be too much. anyways. then i was focused on the stage and i heard her say to one of her male compadres "dont worry i wont make you do it" i asssumed she meant go get a beer. then i was like "oh thats nice of you." and she asked he and I if wed save her place. i said "well he has to" thinking that was her bf. then she was like "yeah, well, hes related." then she made sure i would save her place. then asked if i wnated a beer. i said no. a few minutes she returned with a beer for me. i know i have gf, and dont worry, i wasnt thinkin anyhitng beyond the beer. but it was quite nice to have someone buy you a beer, especially when you turned it down in the first place. i alter deduced she was 25/26 because she was making fun of her borther for being in junior high when the presidents were big (relatively). and how she had seen them live when she was senior in high school at the same time. i was in 7th grade at that time.
i must say taht losing all that weight has really brought me a lot more attention from the male attracted folk (i.e. 40 y.o. gay men and 25y.o. presumably straight women at presidents concerts). i also received a lot of attention at this party iwas at last night. but im convinced that was becasue i was the only guy dancing that could actually dance. i also got my second "you need to be at every party i ever throw" comment. the first was from andrea who had invited me to this party (it was a party for her lab). andrea is hans' girlfriend if anyone wants to know how i know her/who she is.
heres another funny story. on thursday i ate lunch with shaun (a new grad student in my lab who is doing his rotation, meaning he goes to different labs during his first year to figure out where he wants to work) and we were walking back to work when we were approached by this woman who worked in his previous lab. she asked if was coming to her party. he had not received the e-mail. yada yada, etc etc. she said he could even bring his friend (me). i pointed out that i had only met him two days prior. then andrea invited me to the same party the next day. so i figured it was my destiny. the funny thing is that this woman (lisa) who had invited me originally had done one lecture in developmental biology. i did not like this class very much and her lecture was toward the end of the quarter. oh and it was at 9am, my crankiest hour. so i was not in a good mood during her lecture (well a good mood, i was, i mean that i was not in a i wanna learn good mood). so she was giving out candy for answers. and then she asked a question that noboty had an answer to. so whe was all "any answer ill give candy." so i said "blue." i jsut realize i think i already blogged about this story. well then you all know it. anyways, she was like "i cant believe your fucking here" when i showed up to the party. and then i explained how she actually did know me. she was liek "oh youre THAT guy." another proud moment of mine. anyways, she was cool and we drank a good drink all night long.
i hope everyone is watching the olympics. it is great. oneof my favorite things ever which seems to be happening less and less in the single diving (as compared to synchronized diving) is when they catch the diverd picking their wedgies underwater. its fantastic, these girls are picking their wedgies so that people dont see them do it out of hte water at the pool, only to have everyone in the world see it!!! good stuff. what i noticed tongiht was that they moved the camera out of the water when they would have caught them pickin da wedgie before. so i htink they realized what was going on.
oh, the cereal thing, im gonna have to go with, in NPO: honey nut cheerios, HBO, frosted MWs, CTC, fruity pebbles, kix, and maybe a coule more. and tim mos def loves the s'mores pop tarts. and they are quite good. i actually eat cereal more between 12 noon and 4 am than between the 4am to noon slot when most cereal is consumed. this is becasue i dont do breakfast very often.
oh back to the show. it was FANTASTIC. great. and dave, the lead bassitarist (or is it guitbassist) was wearing a livestrong baller band. its a nike/lance armstrong thing that donates money to cancer research. i would have one but they are currently sold out. i hav eheard they have them at nike outlets, so i hope to go to the camarillo outlets and pick up a few.
hmmmm, there were some more things but i cant think of them now, and i think this thing is far too long as itr is.
